Its 2009 - wow, how that happened. 2008 was a wonderful year - we saw Mia blossom from a baby learning to sit up to a crawling baby. (Almost crawling, she still works on it).On New Year Eve we hosted the last year dinner at our house, we had Patricia, Vinny, Shaun’s Mon (Linda) and Shaun’s cousin Paul with us. We had a Hispanic menu (for me it’s just traditional food), but for Shaun and he’s family it is something different. We had:
Pork, Pastelon the platanos amarrillos (sweet plantain casserole), potato salad, green beans casserole (this one is not Hispanic), garlic bread, Flan and Dulce Frio.
We watched old movies and at 11:00 pm we change the channel to watch the ball drop.
After we kissed and hugged and wish each other the best for this New Year, Patricia and Vinny went home and by 12:30 am I was in bed, good thing that I went to bed right away because Mia was up by 7:00 am.
Here’s to another fabulous year! I’m sure each month will bring even more fun as Mia continues to grow and take on the world.
